In my photographs, figures stand on the edge of the continent. Upon a stage.
With horizon and sky beyond.
Each figure paused in a moment of reflection or contemplation or wonderment.
In the mind of each figure is a question.
I think in some way, I am one or all of the figures depicted.
These then are autobiographical photos.
Selfies.

No man is an island,
Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
Any man’s death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind,
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee.
